~January 22nd 2008~ Update time! It's been a while since I posted one, but then it's a while since anything happened! 'The White Albumen' should still appear before the end of January - it's been a 'difficult second album'. Party because I'm a family person, and time over Christmas, New Year etc. is at a premium and partly because of the way I went about it. Rather than writing a song, recording it and finishing it in its entirety I thought I'd try working on the album as a whole, to see if that would give it a more cohesive sound. In fact, it's just turned out to make writing it really draggy and as soon as it IS finished I'll return to the one at a time method again, thanks very much. There's something really soul-wrenching (to me) about having no completed songs, but about 8 half-completed ones. All that aside though, I think the final product, although not a huge leap from 'Songs from the Seabed' will be the better collection of songs. It will be available as a hard CD like SftSB, but that's the option for folk who like something to hold. I'm sure most of you will go for the download! Other projects on the go include some videos - I have a lot of video ideas, but the more 'do-able' rise to the fore - one for a song from TWA entitled 'Who is Justin Bailey?' and a collection of 4 original acoustic songs which will be in video form only - for a while at least. I'm hoping to put the first one out this week, if only I can find the time to clean it up a bit and upload it. In the meantime, I pity th' fool! ~November 22nd 2007~ The full album of 'Songs from the Seabed' is now available as an MP3 download. Visit the 'Music' section to get it. :) There is also a new guestbook for visitors who are just dropping by and you can sign up to a mailing list to stay abreast of any new developments or releases. ~November 21st 2007~ The CamPanula epic 'Just Like Leeroy Jenkins' will feature on the popular Dr. Demento's radio show this weekend. Vist his site for details about broadcasts at http://drdemento.net or if you've missed it you can download the show at http://drdemento.net/online.html after Monday 26th for the princely sum of $2 US. ~November 12th 2007~ A new song has been added to the MP3 Player - '100 Square Miles of Rubik's Cube'. Thanks go to Venso Howlie for that title suggestion. ~November 6th 2007~ Hello, and welcome to the Phase 2 CamPanulas website! There's still a lot of tinkering around to do with it, but I hope you like its nice clean lines. Please feel free to let me know if you have any suggestions for additions or improvements to the site. 'Songs from the Seabed' is the CamPanulas first CD, and it's available in two forms - a nice traditional CD from the shop, or a downloadable MP3 album (coming soon). For details of that, or to play some CamPanula tunes right now on our streaming MP3 player, visit the music section. There is much more coming soon, including new videos, wallpapers, a webcomic and other entertainments. The second CamPanulas album, 'The White Albumen' is also well on track and with any luck at all will be available just before Christmas. Just the thing for your sock. If you haven't already, please join the forum - it is a happening place. See you there! This site uses popup windows and requires the Adobe Flash player ~ download it here
